Bancroft Mill Engine House
Located on Gillians Lane, the Bancroft Mill Engine Museum is a magnificent industrial heritage site that preserves the roaring history of Lancashire's cotton industry. Held right in Barnoldswick Town Square, this free festival showcases a great mix of bands and artists and attracts visitors of all ages. There’s always something new appearing at Alma Cliffe! In her spare time, Tracey creates a wonderful collection of handmade crochet animals and characters, which you'll find displayed on the bookshelf in our dining room.
From Highland cows, rabbits and cats to dinosaurs and some rather unusual characters, every one is handmade by Tracey and has its own personality. The collection is constantly changing as new creations appear and others leave with their new owners.
They’re all available for guests to buy, making a lovely gift, a keepsake from your stay or simply something that catches your eye over breakfast.
